Denver Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Buena Vista Demons as the Denver Christian Thunder made off with a 12-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Thunder as they're now sitting on 20 straight dating back to last season.
Mason Reilly made a splash while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI and one triple.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Patrick Elson, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Caleb Stork, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.
