Whitehall-Yearling is 2-8 against Columbus Academy since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Whitehall-Yearling Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Columbus Academy Vikings at 2:00 p.m. Whitehall-Yearling is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
Last Saturday, Whitehall-Yearling lost to London on the road by a decisive 62-48 margin. While losing is never fun, Whitehall-Yearling can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 573rd, while London is ranked 195th).
Meanwhile, Columbus Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Worthington Christian on Tuesday, taking the game 52-44.
Whitehall-Yearling has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Columbus Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.
Whitehall-Yearling might still be hurting after the 58-34 loss they got from Columbus Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Whitehall-Yearling avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
