Central Catholic extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping them down to 4-3. They lost 13-4 to the Bishop Manogue Miners. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Miners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-3 on Saturday.

Central Catholic saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Nichols, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Nichols is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.
As for Bishop Manogue, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.
On Bishop Manogue's side, Kaylee Sanchez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts Sanchez has posted since back in May of 2025. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two doubles.
In other batting news, Kiki Harris was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Sis King, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Central Catholic didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against East Union on the 10th. As for Bishop Manogue, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 18-1 victory against Reno on the 10th.
