The Rio Vista Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the San Juan Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Rio Vista's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while the Spartans have been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road.
Rio Vista stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They put the hurt on Highlands with a sharp 70-45 victory.
Ashlynd Rhett was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Rio Vista's points. Another player making a difference was Matt Bodle, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, San Juan had to suffer through a rough 64-33 loss at the hands of the Grizzlies.
Rio Vista has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for San Juan, their loss dropped their record down to 0-19.
Everything came up roses for Rio Vista against the Spartans in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 67-20 win. With Rio Vista ahead 40-18 at the half, the game was all but over already.
