The South Eugene Axe came tearing into  Tuesday's  match with three straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They skirted past McNary  75-72. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Eugene to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Calvin Yoder, who  scored 23 points along with six  rebounds. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was  Trey Saunders, who  scored 15 points.
 South Eugene pushed their record up to 6-7 with that  win, which was their fourth straight  at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.5 points per game. As for McNary, their defeat  ended a four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 8-5.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Eugene will  face off against North Medford at 6:45  p.m.  on Thursday. North Medford is coming into the  matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for McNary, they will head out on the road to face off against North Salem at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. North Salem has now lost 14 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1.
