The Oakmont Vikings will head out on the road to  challenge  the Bear River Bruins  at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday. Oakmont is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
 Last Friday, Oakmont strolled past Colfax with  points to spare, taking the game  31-15. That 16 point margin sets a new team best for the Vikings this season.
  Beau Ogles continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 50 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 244 yards and two touchdowns on only 19 passes. That's the most  rushing yards  he has posted since back in September of 2023.  Jayden Beasley was in the mix  as well, providing Oakmont with two touchdowns.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Oakmont's defense and their 4.5 sacks.  Mac Hughes was especially locked on to Colfax's QB and sacked him twice. Hughes is also on a roll when it comes to  total tackles, as he's  now  made ten or more in the last eight games he's  played dating back to last season.
 Oakmont was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 208  rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Colfax only rushed for 82.
 Meanwhile,  Bear River's undefeated season came to an end after  three games  on Friday. They lost  27-7 to Wheatland. The loss was the Bruins' first of the season.
 Oakmont's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Bear River, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-1.
