The StoneBridge Cavaliers will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Isle of Wight Academy Chargers at 7:00 p.m. Isle of Wight Academy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on StoneBridge, who comes in off a win.
StoneBridge had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Broadwater Academy with a sharp 53-33 victory on Friday. The win was just what StoneBridge needed coming off of a 55-21 defeat in their prior match.
It was another big night for Tyler Thompson, who scored 18 points along with six steals and five assists. Another player making a difference was Douglas Marshall, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Isle of Wight Academy had to suffer through a rough 80-47 loss at the hands of the Eagles. Isle of Wight Academy has not had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
StoneBridge's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Isle of Wight Academy, their defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11.
StoneBridge strolled past the Chargers when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 72-56. Will StoneBridge repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
