This season hasn't been kind to the Johnsonville Flashes, who are still winless after their 12th game. They had to suffer through a rough 51-9 loss at the hands of Carvers Bay. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Johnsonville in their matchups with Carvers Bay: they've now lost five in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carvers Bay to victory, but perhaps none more so than D'Essence Graham, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Graham hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Jerchel Geathers-Washington was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Johnsonville dropped their record down to 0-12 with that loss, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.1 points per game. As for Carvers Bay, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.
Coincidentally, Johnsonville and Carvers Bay will both be playing East Clarendon the next time they take the court. Johnsonville will head out to face East Clarendon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Carvers Bay will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
