Chilton barely beat Roncalli the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers blew past the Jets 13-1 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Slaytt Nolan was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Peyton Juckem was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Hudson Ludwig, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Chilton hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Roncalli struck out 11 times.
Meanwhile, Howards Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Mary Catholic.
Braven Wilson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Scharl, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.
Chilton pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Howards Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.
Howards Grove's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Chilton has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .446. It's a different story for Howards Grove, though, as they've only averaged .342. Will they be able to contain Chilton's hitters?
