Huntingtown had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Calvert Cavaliers 8-1 on Wednesday. Considering the Hurricanes have won 14 games by more than six  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Jordyn Greever was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in 17 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  triple.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kayla Ripple, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs and one  stolen base. Another player making a difference was  Ashlyn Myers, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI.
 Huntingtown  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two batters  in four consecutive  matches.
