The Hope Bobcats''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 48-14 loss at the hands of Camden Fairview. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hope in their matchups with Camden Fairview: they've now lost eight in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Hope lost, one person who can't be blamed is Joseph Patterson. Despite the final result, he threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes.
Darrell Atkins Jr had an outrageously good game for Camden Fairview as he threw for 141 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Justin Frazier was another key contributor, rushing for 117 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Hope has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Camden Fairview, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.
Hope will head out on the road to face off against Arkansas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Arkansas focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Friday. Camden Fairview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
