After two games on the road, Wellsville is heading back home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Burlington Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. One thing working in Wellsville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Wellsville gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They claimed a resounding 68-38 win over Santa Fe Trail on the road. 68 seems to be a good number for Wellsville as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Burlington's good fortune finally ran out last Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to Anderson County.
Wellsville's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Burlington, their loss ended a 12-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-4.
Wellsville didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Wildcats when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 46-40 victory. Will Wellsville repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
