The Westmoor Rams will be playing at home against the Mills Vikings at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Westmoor had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against Oceana by a score of 68-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Danny Ugbaja was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 22 points along with two steals. Roman Banda was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Mills' seven-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They snuck past Capuchino with a 42-36 win.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Jefriel Bacorro and Isaiah Cruz. Bacorro had a solid game and scored eight points. Meanwhile, Cruz did his best for the losing side, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Westmoor's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8. As for Mills, their victory bumped their record up to 4-12.
Westmoor was able to grind out a solid win over Mills in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, winning 54-47. Will Westmoor repeat their success, or does Mills have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
