Basketball Recap: Laurice Hamilton Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Chamberlain

Plant City won the last time they faced Chamberlain and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Plant City Raiders put the hurt on the Chamberlain Storm with a sharp 78-58 win.

Plant City's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Laurice Hamilton, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. What's more, Hamilton also racked up two assists, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Logan Teeden was another key player, putting up 14 points along with five assists and five boards.

Plant City has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.4 points per game. As for Chamberlain, they moved to 17-6 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Plant City will challenge Armwood at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Plant City is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.9 points per game this season. As for Chamberlain, they will take on Bloomingdale at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
