The Central Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Silverton Foxes at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Central took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Crescent Valley 13-3.
Maeci Brown was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Silverton made easy work of Lebanon on Friday and carried off an 18-8 win. The victory continues a trend for the Foxes in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won three in a row.
Avery Wurdinger was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with six RBI, three runs, and one double. Maddalynn Ehrens was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Central's record is now 7-10. As for Silverton, their record now sits at 11-6.
Silverton's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Central has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Silverton, though, as they've been averaging 9.1 hits. Given Central's sizable advantage in that area, the Foxes will need to find a way to close that gap.
Central got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Silverton by a conclusive 18-8 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Foxes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
