The Immaculate Mustangs were the 49-36 winner over the Bethel Wildcats when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Immaculate took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bethel on Thursday.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Callie Miller, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Miller hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Kristina Asmani, who scored ten points.
Immaculate has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Bethel, their win bumped their record up to an identical 10-8.
Immaculate will be playing at home against Northwest Catholic at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bethel, they will head out on the road to take on Bunnell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
