The Riverdale Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell 75-64 to Fort Myers. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Riverdale in their matchups with Fort Myers: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Raiders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Konnor Vonhagen, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Vonhagen is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Jamar Underwood was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Riverdale's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8. As for Fort Myers, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.
Riverdale will face off against Southeast at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Fort Myers won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Charlotte at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Charlotte is ranked 210th, while Fort Myers is ranked 187th).
