College Park is 8-2 against Northgate since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Falcons will be playing at home against the Broncos at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
College Park headed into their last match having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Acalanes let them put that streak behind them. The Falcons blew past the Dons 12-2 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Dons: they've now won three in a row.
Savannah Wilson spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, College Park got a massive performance out of Viviana Moguel, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave Moguel a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alexis Weiler, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
College Park hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 3-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Northgate can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over American Canyon. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by eight runs or more this season.
Northgate also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Mackenzie Hudson gave up three earned runs on five hits.
On the hitting side, Taelyn Jriyasetapong was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Addison Baxter was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Northgate's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for College Park, their win bumped their record up to 5-7-1.
College Park took their victory against Northgate when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2 score. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Broncos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
