The Los Gatos Wildcats came tearing into Saturday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 50-45 win over Palo Alto. Given Los Gatos' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while Palo Alto is ranked 224th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Nolan G. koch, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Scotty Brennan, who scored nine points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Los Gatos has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Palo Alto, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.
Los Gatos will head out on the road to take on Wilcox at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Palo Alto, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Los Altos at 7:45 p.m.
