After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Syracuse, the Bonneville Lakers were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Farmington out 50-48. For Bonneville, this counts as revenge for the 61-38 defeat Farmington walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2021.
Bonneville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sidnee Geerdes, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tailey Buckway, who scored 9 points along with 4 steals.
When it comes to explaining why Farmington lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hailey Larsen. Despite the final result, she scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brynn Ryan, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Farmington were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bonneville only pulled down six.
The victory got Bonneville back to even at 1-1. As for Farmington, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Bonneville will head out on the road to face off against Ogden at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Farmington, they will be playing at home against Woods Cross at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
