The Caledonia Fighting Scots lost against the East Kentwood Falcons back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Caledonia's tough 68-46 defeat to the Falcons might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Caledonia in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now lost five in a row.
Several Fighting Scots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyan Vanderwoude, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaiden Googins, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Caledonia's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for East Kentwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Caledonia will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Ottawa is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for East Kentwood, they will head out on the road to challenge the Buccaneers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
