Paradise extended the longest winning streak in Eastern this week by beating Enterprise, 42-41. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Bobcats.
Chico moved up to 219 from 254 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 48-25 win over Red Bluff helped the Panthers improve their standing.
Daniel Robbins put up the best numbers through the air as Chico beat the Spartans. He finished with a total of 23 completions for 274 yards and seven touchdowns.
Johnny Porter was the best wideout in the league this week as Paradise topped the Hornets. Porter tallied six receptions for 128 yards. Robert Smoots helped Paradise's passing attack out by catching one ball for nine yards.
Tom Hays was the most productive running back in Eastern this week. He ran for 193 yards on 16 carries as Rick Prinz's team defeated Enterprise. Jonathon Dixon also contributed to the rushing game with 88 yards on the ground.
Evan Dahlquist made the biggest impact on defense this week as Foothill beat Pleasant Valley. The 5-foot-9 defensive lineman racked up 3.0 sacks.
Jason Alvistur's team's Robbins and Jesse Holmes have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Robbins has thrown for 1592 yards this season, while Holmes has 46 catches for 876 yards. Red Bluff's Tucker Gulliford leads the league in rushing yards with 625.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Panthers take on the Bobcats. As it stands, Chico is in fifth, while Paradise is in first.
The Cougars were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. Earlier in the week, Foothill defeated the Vikings 55-23.
