Hermleigh was red-hot at the plate headed into the  game (they scored no less than ten  runs in the four  matches prior) but Tolar's pitchers proved too tough.
 Stanton's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Hermleigh, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 13-7.
