The Goshen Warriors will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Wilmington Hurricane at 7:30 p.m. Goshen is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 12 games.
Even though Clinton-Massie scored an imposing 62 points on Friday, Goshen still came out on top. Goshen walked away with a 70-62 win over Clinton-Massie. Given Goshen's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while Clinton-Massie is ranked 450th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Goshen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caden Zeinner led the charge by scoring 30 points. Zeinner has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Conner Moore, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Wilmington came up short against Franklin on Tuesday and fell 62-50.
Goshen pushed their record up to 13-1 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Wilmington, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
Everything came up roses for Goshen against Wilmington in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 83-45 victory. Will Goshen repeat their success, or does Wilmington have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
