The Toronto Red Knights came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Bridgeport with points to spare, taking the game 57-42. That's another feather in the cap for Toronto, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaleel Vincent, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was AJ Gear, who scored eight points.
Toronto's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Bridgeport, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6.
Toronto will take on Oak Glen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bridgeport, they will head out on the road to face off against Beallsville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
