Brusly has gone 7-0-1 against Plaquemine recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Brusly will face off against Plaquemine at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Plaquemine will be up against a hot Brusly squad: the team just extended their winning streak to 13. Brusly's pitcher stepped up to hand University Lab a 15-0 shutout on Wednesday.

Abigail Heidbrink looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Emma Grace Daigle was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Meador, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Plaquemine, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over East Iberville on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Green Devils needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Brusly pushed their record up to 17-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Plaquemine, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Brusly took their victory against Plaquemine when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brusly since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
