Make it six blowout wins for the Rocket City Falcons this season. They put the hurt on Bluegrass with a sharp 48-25 win on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Rocket City has posted since November 7, 2023.
Rocket City's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elizabeth ( Bess ) Shea, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Shea hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. MacKenzie Baker was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Rocket City's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Bluegrass, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rocket City will challenge Life Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bluegrass will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Christian Educational Consortium at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th.
