On Wednesday, Sherman was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 50-45 to Eisenhower.
Eisenhower found their leader in underclassman Clara Steinberg, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. That makes it six consecutive games in which Steinberg has scored at least 25% of Eisenhower's points. Another player making a difference was Lainey Font, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Sherman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Eisenhower, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sherman will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Westfield at 7:30 p.m. on January 26, 2024. Eisenhower won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Panama at 5:30 p.m. on December 28th. Panama comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
