The Anna Coyotes will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Centennial Titans at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Anna focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Thursday.
Anna has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2023 than the 58-20 stomp they got on the road against Trinity Christian.
Iv Jackson was her usual excellent self, scoring 13 points along with three steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayonna Cooper, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Centennial's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 47-21 walloping at the hands of Heritage. Centennial was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-10.
Anna has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Centennial, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-19.
Anna strolled past Centennial in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 by a score of 48-29. The rematch might be a little tougher for Anna since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
