Oceanside proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 33) but on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Lincoln Academy 67-65. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Oceanside has scored all season.
Oceanside's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Carter Galley, who scored 23 points along with four steals, and Cohen Galley, who scored 32 points along with eight rebounds. Galley is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Ben Tripp was another key contributor, scoring no points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Medomak Valley can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 86-27 win over Belfast. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Medomak Valley has posted yet this season.
Oceanside's win was their 16th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-0. As for Medomak Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 13-1.
Oceanside strolled past Medomak Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 71-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oceanside since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
