Central had to skate by with only a one-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 35-point drubbing they dealt Gardendale on Friday. The Falcons took their contest with ease, bagging a 49-14 win over the Rockets. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Anthony Dixon had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 126 yards and two scores on only seven carries, while also picking up 32 receiving yards and one TD. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 85 yards. Another player making a difference was Armani White, who threw for 224 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 16 passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 274 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gardendale only rushed for 100.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Gardendale, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Central has already played their next game, a 21-20 loss against McAdory on the 3rd. As for Gardendale, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-9 defeat against Homewood on the 3rd.
