AA District 12 recap September 17, 2013
Marshall County moved up to 110 from 150 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in AA District 12. The Tigers were able to make move up by topping Columbia Central 35-28.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Christ Presbyterian Academy beat Maplewood 42-20,. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Page's Zak Mizell and Trevor Johnson have proven to be a lethal combination. Mizell has thrown for 1,012 yards this season, while Johnson has 32 catches for 309 yards. Giles County's Brandon Houston leads the league in rushing yards with 294.
The Bobcats' offense has recorded 110 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Cascade has permitted only 27 on the year.
At the moment, the Champions are in second, while Giles County is in third.
Cascade took down Community 28-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
