Softball Recap: Adams Wins Going Away Against Jefferson

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Molina, Adams was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Jefferson Patriots with a sharp 20-14 victory. The Cougars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Adams got a massive performance out of Natalia Leon, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Ellie McAnally was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Adams was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win got Adams back to even at 2-2. As for Jefferson, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Adams will host Skyline at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jefferson, they will challenge Sunset at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
