It was a good run, but The Raymond Rangers unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They were beaten by McComb 38-8. Raymond has struggled against McComb recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Raymond still got an impressive performance from Amodra Moffett, who rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown.
Even if they lost, Raymond's defensive line sure didn't make it easy: McComb's QB was sacked three times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Willie Stinson and his two sacks.
Raymond's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for McComb, their win was their ninth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 10-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Raymond will take on Greene County at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. As for McComb, they will look to defend their home field on November 3rd against Bay at 7:00 p.m. Bay will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while McComb is ranked 23rd).
