Meanwhile, Glendale came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.3 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They beat Vista Murrieta by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 2-1. Glendale wouldn't have won without Alejandro Nunez, who scored the game-winner.
Bell Gardens is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2-3 record this season. As for Glendale, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2-2.
