Volleyball Recap: Dracut Wins Going Away Against Academy of Notre Dame

Dracut won the last time they faced Academy of Notre Dame and things went their way on Saturday too. The Middies put the hurt on the Lancers with a sharp 3-0 win. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Middies yet this season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 25-21.

Leila Amiepouopouo paced Dracut's offense, picking up five kills. Amiepouopouo got some help from Kelsey Hudon and her six assists. Kylanie Palacio controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Dracut's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Academy of Notre Dame, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Dracut will venture away from home to challenge Billerica Memorial at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Academy of Notre Dame, they will head out to square off against Ayer Shirley at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
