Northmont extended the longest winning streak in Greater Western Ohio - Central this week by beating Springfield, 42-20. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Thunderbolts.
Wayne took down Fairmont 55-27 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Centerville's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Damian Popp contributed 172 yards.
Popp provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Elks beat Beavercreek.
Popp was the best running back in the league this week. In 24 carries, he ran for 172 yards as Centerville bested the Beavers. Teammate Michael Lunsford added to the ground attack by rushing for 114 yards.
Northmont's Graham Oberer and Cameron Taylor led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Oberer has thrown for 665 yards this season, while Taylor has 19 catches for 268 yards. Ron Ullery's team's Popp leads the league in rushing yards with 1,722.
The top two teams in Greater Western Ohio - Central will face off this week when first place Wayne takes on second place Northmont. The Warriors bested the Firebirds last week, while Lance Schneider's team defeated the Wildcats.
Wayne led the league in scoring this week by notching 55 points on Fairmont.
