They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Excel Christian Academy 70-38 on the road. The high-flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Haines City considering their two-point performance the matchup before.
Arissa Jenkins continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 34 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Amari Thomas, who scored eight points.
Excel Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Soleil DeJesus, who scored 18 points, and Anyla Parker who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Parker has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Analise DeJesus, who scored two points along with three steals.
Haines City has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Excel Christian Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8.
