Tallwood is 1-9 against Kellam since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Tallwood Lions' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Kellam Knights at 5:30 p.m. on December 19th. Tallwood comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last eight games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Friday, Tallwood might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Cox an easy 37-16 win.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Kellam's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were dealt a 70-39 loss at the hands of Princess Anne. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Kellam has scored all season.
Despite their defeat, Kellam saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kate Spain, who scored 17 points, was perhaps the best of all. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. Mia Spain was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Tallwood's loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-8. As for Kellam, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
Tallwood took a serious blow against Kellam in their previous meeting back in February, falling 73-42. Can Tallwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
