The Corinth Holders Pirates can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 57-18 victory over Garner at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-6.
Corinth Holders' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Darla Lee, who scored 18 points along with two steals. Lee hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Bella Stromberg, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Corinth Holders' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Garner, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Coincidentally, Corinth Holders and Garner will both be playing South Garner the next time they take the court. Corinth Holders will host South Garner at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Garner will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
