The New Albany Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Orleans Bulldogs, and things went their way on Friday too. New Albany had just enough and edged Orleans out 51-48. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points New Albany has scored all year.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ian Hall, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. Xavier Alston was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
New Albany pushed their record up to 4-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Orleans, their loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Albany will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Evansville Central at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. As for Orleans, they will take on Mitchell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
