Atchison has gone a perfect 10-0 against Schlagle recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Phoenix will host the Stallions at 4:00 p.m. Atchison will be strutting in after a victory while Schlagle will be coming in after a loss.
Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Atchison turned things around against Washington on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Wildcats. Considering the Phoenix have won 11 matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Parker Huntington made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Atchison got a massive performance out of Brody Barnes, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits Barnes has posted over his last four games. Kolten Bonnel was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Atchison was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Washington only posted a batting average of .250.
Schlagle couldn't beat Sumner Academy on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Stallions lost 23-8 to the Sabres. The Stallions haven't had much luck with the Sabres recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Mario Arita made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Another player making a difference was Angel Zalazar, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Schlagle's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Atchison, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.
Everything went Atchison's way against Schlagle when the teams last played back in April, as Atchison made off with a 20-0 victory. Do the Phoenix have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Stallions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
