Stanfield extended the longest winning streak in 2A Blue Mountain this week by beating Heppner, 33-14. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Tigers.
Heppner's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Stephen Thompson has thrown for 290 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Jesse Corbin has 10 catches for 156 yards. Aidan Wright leads the league in rushing with 614 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Mustangs take on Grant Union. Heppner is currently in fourth, while the Prospectors are in second.
Enterprise made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,830 from 10,497. The advance stemmed from a 49-12 victory over Irrigon last week.
