Aquin Catholic walked away with a 63-53 win over Lena-Winslow on Thursday. This was payback for Aquin Catholic, who suffered a 36-26 defeat the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Paityn London, who scored 25 points along with eight assists and eight steals. London is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Hanna Broge was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with two steals.
Aquin Catholic's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Lena-Winslow, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-7.
Aquin Catholic on the road again on Wednesday and play against Pearl City at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th. Pearl City has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 6. As for Lena-Winslow, they will be playing at home against Durand at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Durand focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Thursday.
