When it comes to explaining why Lamar County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jordan Godsey. Despite the final result, he rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown. Godsey has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last ten times he's played.
Winfield's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Lamar County, their defeat was their third straight on the road , which bumped their record down to 7-3.
Winfield will be playing in front of their home fans against Colbert County at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Colbert County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 153 points over their last three matchups. As for Lamar County, they will head out on the road to face off against Tanner at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Hopefully Tanner focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five last Friday.
