The Bullock County Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Geneva Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Bullock County is ranked 242nd, while Geneva is ranked 246th).
Bullock County fell victim to Montgomery Catholic's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 38-0 loss at the hands of the Knights. Bullock County was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Meanwhile, Geneva came up short against Dale County on Thursday and fell 37-30. Geneva has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Geneva's defeat came about despite a quality game from Kingston Tolbert, who rushed for 137 yards and four touchdowns.
The losses dropped Bullock County to 3-5 and Geneva to 2-6.
Bullock County was taken down by Geneva 46-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Can Bullock County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
