The Tyler Legacy Raiders were the 57-54 winner over the Rockwall Yellowjackets when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Tyler Legacy took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rockwall on Tuesday.
Tyler Legacy's loss came despite strong showings from Jayden Jones and Ja'corian Oes. Jones scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Oes scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Jones is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played.
Tyler Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Rockwall, they pushed their record up to 16-13 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Tyler Legacy will head out on the road to challenge Mesquite at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Mesquite's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests. As for Rockwall, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rockwall-Heath at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rockwall will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 219th, while Rockwall-Heath is ranked 71st).
