The Minatare Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 66-47 bruising from Potter-Dix. Minatare has struggled against Potter-Dix recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Minatare's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Hunter Poor Bear, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds and three steals, and Dionicio Hernandes who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
It was another big night for Brayden Kasten, who dropped a triple-double on 31 points, ten rebounds, and ten steals for Potter-Dix. The game was Kasten's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Gasseling, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Minatare bumped their record down to 2-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Potter-Dix, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Minatare will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hemingford on January 5, 2024. After both having extra time off, Potter-Dix and Bayard will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another on January 5, 2024. Hopefully Bayard focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 39 on Tuesday.
