In this week's power rankings, we saw one team go soaring up and another team come crashing down, along with everything in between. We'll tackle that and more in this week's report.
Welcome
The Falmouth offense has been a force to be reckoned with this season, and last week was no different. It took its game against Dennis-Yarmouth Regional by a confident 46 - 22 score. Falmouth did have the odds in its favor, but the team did even better than the MaxPreps state rankings indicated. The win also thrust it into the power rankings, where the team now holds the 23rd spot.
Can't Touch This
Londonderry's 38 - 34 win over Winnacunnet last week had a lot to do with the leadership of senior Evan Cormier. Cormier tossed the ball for 225 yards and three TDs. That performance made Cormier one of the best players in the power rankings last week.
Next Week's Big Game
The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between St. John's Prep (4th in the MaxPreps state rankings) and Boston College High (26th). St. John's Prep is backed by a win while Boston College High is motivated by a recent defeat. Will St. John's Prep repeat its success, or will Boston College High bounce back and dish team a loss? Check back after their contest Saturday for the full scoop.
