District 10 Region 2 A recap Oct. 3, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Union City, who took down 532nd ranked Cambridge Springs, 35-12.
Eisenhower moved up to 336 from 393 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in District 10 Region 2 A. The Knights climbed the ranks as a result of a 38-16 win over Cochranton.
The Devils' dynamic duo of Devin Walker and Zach Stafford proved tough for the Bears to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Walker threw for 190 yards and two touchdowns and Stafford had 132 yards receiving. Nick Pearson helped Cambridge Springs' passing attack out by catching four balls for 33 yards.
John Pascuzzi was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 34 carries, he ran for 339 yards as Eisenhower lost to Union City. Alex Johnson also contributed to the rushing game with 54 yards on the ground.
6-foot-1 quarterback Chad Eisenhooth of the Cardinals is the league leader in passing yards this season with 578. He has also thrown seven touchdowns. On the ground, James Penley's team's Pascuzzi has rushed for 926 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Nathan O'Brien. The Eisenhower star has 13 catches for 339 yards.
Pascuzzi of the the Knights is only 74 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in District 10 Region 2 A this week will be when the Devils take on Eisenhower. Cambridge Springs is currently in sixth, while the Knights are in first.
Eisenhower extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Cochranton, 38-16. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
